In general they have a poor reputation;

no wonder there is so much consternation.

First they set their sights on a lavish standard of living;

the lowly get the leftovers, heads are a spinning.

They talk about fiscal responsibility, my oh my;

that's like being bitten by a pesky horsefly.

They write a hundred-page document and call it a brief;

is it any wonder why we all look on with disbelief?

They complicate things just to run up the tab;

especially in divorce litigation, that's pretty drab.

Then we have the pharmaceutical industry, labor arbitration too;

medical lawsuits galore, they're always trying to outdo.

It's really something, our modern- day jurisprudence;

just a shame because there's just too much misfeasance.

They sleep in the same bed, some of them surely do;

sure it's hard work, but to exploit means the lack of virtue.

In general they have a poor reputation;

no wonder there is so much consternation.

Lawmakers and lawyers, when will they stop the conflagration;

only with the exhortation to completely avoid absolute equivocation.
