The Courting of Heavy Reflection
prisoner! , prisoner! this case is quite dissimilar to the
judges' last enlargement, less he had swallowed it and two more flew
in to rise the spring in his heart, palpitations before he could
speak to be smart. The photo shows plainly in this case you tried to
free yourself from an illegal bondage with the judges old bandage
from the war, two of his sisters and one of his laces and then called
it petty theft, though all hard to replace. And then spoke as if a
professor seeking a solution to someone's deficient thought
processes; asking 'quiet' to hear, to capture a reflection in your
legal case. If I'd been born yesterday and had been as stupid as a
man genius escaping a prison cell in through the exit- confused-
confused of which of the two places he stood-in or out-and believed
he'd talked himself into believing something to confuse the guard at
the gate. "He got 'out!"'. Now what in your case says you can
capture a captive if he's already caught-I even believe I'd let you
go, from respect, if only the judges spring knew which way is in or
out either, after abiding your lawyer and speaking to the fifty
witnesses in the judges own chosen order. Maybe you simply liked it
in there and your own mind didn't know. But that's one two many
words from all of those witnesses - adds up to mean that one mans
shoes are no different from anothers'-and that that doesn't matter,
as also you claim that neither the sole of your own shoes or your own
soul be different from the holy souls you posed as witnesses, or
those from your half invented written scheme-- that if any such
scheme could lend to any random soul a proper name-he'd try to break
in and not out, just the same. The idea is to reflect on that, and
if you can capture it, its already caught, in or out, spring or fall,
and if you start thinking it got away I'll have to re-confine you
with some other name so you can capture that idea,- because if your
thoughts start flying of freedom again, I've not enough laces, cases,
sisters or judges to continue this court no more. Have you anything
to add?
Your honor-please refresh me of my charges-as my heart grows
heavy as sure as the judges, and really, at least, I'd not heard
myself all of the testimony of all of the orders of witnesses, that
something be as foul as a birds coup caught with only a fowl picture -
and a hard and bitter pill of logic that neither myself, nor you, nor
the judges in this trial be reasoned all in the correct place-
prisoners of a mean perfect circle no man with no hand or falling
from the heavens could, on any breach of honor have professed to have
traced; and I politely and humbly ask you for a reprieve from a
trial on the grounds of missing testimony, and an un-whole reflection
in general-that I'm sure by the logic of sense and addition, this
reflection has no where to escape, less it is a prisoner itself. I
wish, in addition to motion to move this trial to someother time,
that we all sit and wait-by the window if you like, to see what the
wind might blow in-what Saint Peter might have to say-where Dante has
hidden an unknown hell-where a fire burns and there is no flame-where
we cannot find a reflection; but always as sure as I know my own
name, there exists some unknown place in the world, and a reflection
to know, that I'm sure we'd all meet of a mind, (of satan, the wise,
the judge, jury, and witnesses) to christen it only as
Mr/Ms Captive-to reflect on.
In some ocasions, people are made guilty in the eyes of the beholders who see only a reflection from their mind. They see only what their minds tell them to see - an image that they believe to be true. Yet, can their imaginery reflections be taken into judgments? They judge the reflective image in their minds; but then again, who can be the judge of what they see?
Seeing and believing is one thing; but to have the truth is to have a true copy of reflection, and who can verify the reflection they see in their mind is the true copy of what they see?
Good write! I'm not sure if my comments were appropriate, but that is how I would have reflected on this piece. If I had commented this piece wrong, I'll apologize in advance.
.....But I would like to think that my theory can go for anything else in this world, not just this piece.
A further collection of poems, many from years in the Middle East, but also the California San Francisco and Central Coast areas (Santa Cruz, Carmel, Big Sur, Berkeley, etc.).
