Asleep in the meadows of my mind
is a dewy summer scented with rain and flowers
and a cat purring at the edge of my heart
Smokey fragrances and bulky knit feels of love
stacked up books and tomcat smiles
creatures of habit are we by ones own choice
Together we slumber at the crackle of a fire
easily led into comfort we gather our dreams
and feather them with a touch of hope...

I always found it interesting to watch cats and dogs dream while they are sleeping. Twitching and sometimes vocalizing the action in their dreams.
