Tanngrisnia and tanngrisjustr
pulled Thor's chariot over the sky
and he dined on them each every night. Since neolithic Atit Yam time
man has kept us for milk, meat and hide
like our wooly cousins rams and ewes. The chosen people at Yam Kippur
took two of us, one to sacrifice
the other freed taking sins away. Billies rut and smell when leaves do fall
attracting nannies in time of lust
later delivering kid twins. Our diet drives nutritionists nuts
tin cans, wood we lick but not digest
kudzus, shrubs and weeds sate appetite. We observe our lives through pupils flat
headbutt each other for leadership
and traverse rubbled steep slopes with ease. Our history and our legend told
my rutting and head butting all but done
i can be called nothing but Old Goat.
THIS WORK LEAVES ONE TO APPRECIATE THE 'OLD GOATS' THAT PERSEVERE THROUGH LIFE WITH 'ODDITIES' THAT HARM NONE, BUT SUFFICE THEM...DOING IT, 'THEIR WAY'. APPRECIATED AND ENJOYED. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS
Have you ever eaten an old, cold goat? I have, at a wedding, and it wasn't pleasant. However, the domesticated goat doesn't get the credit it deserves as one of the mainstays of society in played out, arid lands. they make great pets, too.
Thanks for giving goats their due. I hope to become an old goat someday, too.
Goat helps you embrace the goodness of life with joy and fun. Yet Goat can be head strong and stubborn which is not a bad thing when dealing predators and vampires. (You know what I mean - those people who want to steal your energy all the time!) But it is not all serious business! Goat is a joyful, playful, curious being who loves to investigate and learn. They play with their friends and explore the world around them. Hard work pays off, but goat can show us that without time to enjoy what we have earned, the effort is worthless - take time to embrace your successes! Goat shares with us a passion for the good things in life.
