I wrote this after I came home from Prison. I had been home for a couple years.

DECISIONS

LORD I REALLY NEED TO TALK, SOME TIME TO REALLY PRAY, THE WORDS WON’T COME, MY HEARTS OVERWHELMED, THERES OS MUCH I NEED TO SAY.

I’M HAPPIER NOW THAN I HAVE EVER BEEN, MY LIFE IS FINALLY COMING TOGETHER, I’VE WEATHERED MANY STORMS IN MY LIFE, LEARNED MANY LESSONS THAT WILL LAST FOREVER.

SO WHY IS THERE SUCH A SADNESS DEEP WITHIN MY SOUL, ITS ALMOST AS IF THERE SOMETHING MISSING IN MY LIFE TO MAKE ME COMPLETE AND WHOLE.

COULD IT BE THAT I’M JUT TOO HARD ON MYSELF, TRYING TO LIVE SUCH A PERFECT LIFE, STRUGGLING EACH DAY TO MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE, GIVING UP THE WRONG FOR THE RIGHT.

THE PROBLEM IS WHAT I ONCE THOUGHT WAS RIGHT TURNED OUT TO BE ALL WRONG, MY LIFE WAS DESTROYED BY THE DECISIONS I MADE, I LOST MY FREEDOM AND MY CHILDREN THEY’RE GONE.

ITS ALL OVER NOW THE PAST IS THE PAST, I MUST LEARN TO LIVE FOR TODAY, THE HARDEST PART IS THE CHOICE IS STILL MINE AND YOUR WILL I MUST OBEY.

SOMETIMES I WISH YOU COULD AUDIBLY SPEAK AND TELL ME WHAT YOU WOULD HAVE ME TO DO, BUT I HAVE TO DEPEND ON YOUR SPIRIT TO GUIDE ME IN ALL I SAY AND DO.

ALTHOUGH I SOMETIMES GET CONFUSED ON WHAT YOU’RE TRYING TO SAY, THE ANSWER WILL COME ONLY IN YOUR TIME AND IN YOUR SPECIAL WAY.

I THANK YOU FOR REASSURANCE AND I PROMISE TO DO MY BEST, TO TRUST YOU IN EVERY DECISION I MAKE AND LET YOU DO THE REST.

You were on the right track when you wrote this poem of yearning. Apparently, you are still trusting, the best decision you could ever make.
