Gaining Water Weight

Gaining some weight is not such a bad thing, then again.....................

My body is putting on weight,

Specifically my legs & feet,

I beg to God not to lose my overall gait,

For on walks with Rene, for me to catch up,

She would unfortunately have to wait…

I have tried to restrain myself from adding water weight,

But still I seem to be losing ground,

Adding water is really making me of fluids hate,

The doctor’s don’t seem to be able to come up with anything positive,

I guess my drinking of fluids is quite altogether causative…

If you know of any idea’s regarding same,

Before I end up going in the end, lame,

Non, at this time, but it doesn’t seem to be quite far off,

They just keep sending to me ways to play this my favorite game.

I have lymphedema and retain water in my legs. Walking worsens the condition, but swimming helps.

The only advice I can offer is to just try to keep a positive attitude.

As you know Ed, I walk a lot. It is great exercise and not as hard on the body as running. My knees cannot take jogging but walking seems fine. Keep moving. Sending love, peace, and best wishes,

Regis. 🍁

Yes, walking is great. Running is better. Fasting may be even better. I'm told that it works. My sister lost 80 pounds and probably staved off diabetes. She eats normally every other day and doesn't eat in between.

I can't walk, but have no sign of diabetes. Since a blood clot about six years ago, my legs and feet swell up during the day in the wheelchair. So I have taken to raising my legs while watching TV shows or movies to get the swelling down. It generally goes down all the way at night as long as I get in a little feet elevation during the day. I am not fasting and don't intend to unless I start developing some of the symptoms of overeating.

Walking is a great exercise, Ed, so I would advise you to keep up with that, even if you can't keep up with your wife. It will also help you to sweat, which in turn may help you to lose some excess water. It's all in the gait!
