...Guess my ship has yet to dock...

Poem Artwork

I used to find myself quite the writer,

Able to put down on paper much,

But  I was quite younger then,

Writing of a time when there was more karma & Zen…

I found way back when I could write a few a day,

Some short, some humorous, some about the world all about,

Some of the past, some of the present, some of life getting in the way,

Some of me or others, acting out…

Now I find it hard to drive myself to put pen to paper,

Even though my pen is now of the typewritten sort,

I really wish I could write of books that speak of some kind of capers,

But so far in my mind, I guess, in that vein my ship has not yet come to port.

Alcohol and drugs can make one quite glib. Especially the response like a poke in the rib. On a high that makes almost everything funny, but eventually comes the low like one's battery.

I would suggest you continue to write anything that comes to your mind, and then later read it back to yourself and see whether it is worth posting or not.

For someone who says he has difficulty putting words on paper, you are doing fine with this poem. Keep writing!

Stuff to reflect upon. What I find most "disturbing" is how time seems to be speeding up the older I get. Love and peace to you, Ed,

Regis. 🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁

Indeed, writing required a kind of discipline to keep at it. You seem to be doing quite well nonetheless. Keep it up Ed.

Good morning, Edmundo!

I'm glad to see you've resurrected your quill, even if it is of the typewritten sort. We'll have to get together again before both of us old geezers fall off the planet. Bobbie is doing well. She's such an angel! I can't seem to get Spooky to write anything, I suppose that would be expecting a bit much since she's over 20 years old now. Speaking of angels, give my best to Rene.
