The mind is a wonderful thing to have.
So glad to still have mine.
Just don't know what I'ld do without it.
But as I age I tend to feel it slip.

In an effort to keep mentally alert
I tax my brain to use it or lose it.
Along with a healthy diet and exercise
my brain needs to keep fit.

At the gym for the brain
pumping mental iron improves brain function.
Daily exercise adds brain cells
and a new supply of oxygen to the brain.

Laughing also gets oxygen to the brain.
So each day I laugh a little, pump and tax a little
to remain of sound body and mind.
My old body is so sound...  it squeaks.

Like new shoes, I can hear you coming down the hall. ;-)

But you're in old shoes and your mind is so sharp it cuts through my poetry like the wind. I like that.

You awere so right when you wrote this . . .

"But as I age I tend to feel it slip."

Slip it surely does, John, and I hope all that you are doing to thwart this slippage works. It didn't for me . . .
