Love?

This hurried love
The slow good-bye
I will love you until the day I die
So much expected
The haunted kiss
Were we always meant to end like this?
There's now a wrench caught in my throat
My only song for you
But now I watch you go
Those sacred days
Those steamy nights
I suppose she was the poison
An apple and you had to have a bite
You left a woman for a child
And now my fantasies in my head ...
They run alone and wild
I would give anything to find love again
A love more true r than ours had ever been
No eager eye
No wandering heart
A lover who sees and loves me for myself
No I retract that third line
I will forever seek a partner
For whom to love
And our love shall never die!

What a great love poem!
One of these days I will catch up with you...
if I live to be 778. So clear the way and full
speed ahead. I'm after you, Tiffany. For sure.

Men are uniquely different from women. Once that is understood, relationships can last longer. Your poem suggests a bitter taste from being betrayed by the temptation of a younger woman--child?

If he was the one meant to be, he would not have left you. Consider it's trash walking itself out. There is someone who is better and he is meant for you. Nice poem, well-expressed.

In the Whirlwind by Tichaona Chinyelu

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
