mandevilla belles
Gallant hibiscus wearing
sunny sombreros
With a drop of maroon
in the center
Yellow sloppy painter Croton
Cheer my Spirit
.... and hopefully others
in our neighborhood
as we anxiously, numbly
wait for yet another storm
to roar past us
A zebra butterfly blithely alights
on a purple Porter weed
Storm weary Florida
hurriedly hangs shutters,
chops down branches
clears yards
hauls gallons of water
and other supplies
When I pause to reflect...
all in all
It's just another
divine numinous day
In the Sunshine State

We are hunkered down on the East Coast of Florida, obeying all instruction from the officials. Holding on to the Divine One. Hopefully all will be well.
