The Best of Christmas

The air is crisp,

          the breeze is a small wisp.

The snowflakes float down

          and blanket the ground.

The stars in the night sky,

          twinkle against a black expanse so high.

The virgin white snow,

          lay like a desert where no winds blow.

It sparkles as though it were precious stones

          like none ever known.

Houses lit up with bright lights,

          with different colors and heights.

From large picture windows,

          Christmas trees people want to show.

The North Star high in the night,

          it twinkles like no other might.

There is nothing more exciting than on this night

when Christians get together to unite.

The earth’s freshness and joy is reward,

          since on this night was the birth of our Lord.
