death

Touch the face of God

trod amongst the clan

never lost just a bit hard to understand

Rest burnt by the sand so bright

Blinded by insolence in flight

I have bent beside the water

drank my fill

left eh wild of youth

on a cross upon a hill

staple of the good life

hanging free

lord your wine

saved the likes of me

last to the fire

first to the gift

son of souls drifting

accepted on the left

want and need strive

into bondage of man

freedom of the soul

love if you can

when this travel is over

all the wisdom of man

every pure of fire

cleanse my soul in stand

as the mountain moved forward

across the Holy Land

soldiers of fortune

peace in the plan

silver shared

by oil in blood

who is tyrant

who is friend

into the shadow of death I will come

into the forever rest with the father and son

Cross marker by the church on the hill

love is but a penitence to cover robin and dove

still waiting at her crying and wailing on his last sill

This poem speaks volumes of sadness, entertwined with visions of being united with Him.
