Soul Looking

CC there is no reason but the soul requires none


we are just flowers blooming under an old and fading son


love it is a season to be kept for days gone cold


lovers hold forever in the bottom of their souls


 


put my hand into the pocket of dream left cold and dry


took my two fingers of whiskey


hung my head and cried


anit no reason for living on this earth


my life has been of blessing


still I fill like a curse


take the wild of reason cast it like a stone


watch it skip across the water


song to its final home


a purpose is never what seems to be


only a reason


run among the flowers


blooming in dried up sea


cup the warmth in loving as long as you can


fed the need of pleasing


accept the role of a man


watch your children growing


hold the day as it goes


take the soft rain


with the ice and the snow


come hear the music of the life on the go


come accept the heartache of growing old


watch the autumn with the leaves they turn


in the wonder of believing learn to accept burn


It was into cold of winter as the leaves lay to rest


I walked to the graveyard heavy heart in my chest


saw and old man praying near a stone note ground


left a piece of me writing


yet I never made a sound


when you walk the valley and have stood on mountain high


there is a comfort in your being


there is truth to your cry


nobody questions


for your wisdom is strong


in your hand they place


their heart and they sing along


I am and I will always be


wisp her to the good times


when our spirits were still young and free
