Free Verse Fiction

You come to expectations a varied plan made up with witches and dreamers
All part of some master plan, from cars to schemes upon a leverage of life.
She grew from the witch on my trunk to the back seat of my young time
So perfect we fit together miss her so much it is a crime.

They came to me in a cold hour, took my hand, stated clearly, you will be the man, sales show is in the morrow, need to make the scanner scan, children are depending on a bonus plan, watched as the fools left the building, cried for my child, did not know where he was, been kicked out for a month or so, into drugs and other, leaving off the street, into gangs for the please in his heat,

taken his car as collateral, kicked his head in for measure true , stole my wife's engagement ring just to try to make due, spent my heart sorrow, holding two still at home, wife just expected me to make it all better, find him and bring him home, ran the shadows, talked to friends he once knew, spent my knees upon the marble in front of Mary's statue at the cathedral, lighting candles, praying hard, sang to my youngest, prayed with them till sleep came,

worked the job of introducing macular camera, mobile units safety factors, steering stable, track able reason, data scan and more,
Found the chief engineer had hung himself, could not face failure in his fathers eyes, spent another night looking for my son found him in a den on the north side, paid off the gang that was holding him, kept him from committing suicide,

girl fiend and others living in the basement, all their sins trying to hide, was able to get the scanner working, jury rigged steering, safety yoke locked in fine, talked to children's parents able to get them back into homes by Christmas, son placed him in a trailer, offered him a new life, pastor found him a job, finally able to talk to my wife,

expectations still crying in the wind borrowing from Peter to Paul again, kept the kids in private school, kept the older one from jail, worked two jobs, able to set my wife up in a retail business kept from feeling like a slave, stepped over the out come,

watched my brother in law go to a grave, sister wants to take her life, kept my foster daughter one more year from cocaine, judge thought better, gave her back to her mother, pregnant at fifteen, drugs living on edge again, comes to me and we cry, I am her best friend,

sister going to make it, have her living with and old girl friend, both a house on the outskirts of town, older boy an alcoholic and so many other wonders to drug, someone burns down his trailer, loses his job, he and girl friend living with me, some guys is telling hard love,

manage to get the kids out of high school, living with me, added another room, working and the mind crawls along a wall pulling heart and soul along. Old friends wander in to have needs met, a dollar here, advice, child coming, car in need of repair, obituary, death watch, hospital duty, rocking babies hooked on crack, working the street finding and helping when I can, veterans hospital, kids of kids taking the extra cash keep them employed long enough to escape their homes, watch the war make them old before their time,

expectations lay in form, write for pleasure and need,
Escape when and where you can

In hours before the dawn of life as it is will, I walk the path, that I walk still, a fleeting day
dream of love and love gone cold, I am a dreamer, I am old, but shades of remembrance in eyes as cool as time, I hold the witches brew, tastes like wine,

for in the winter of a passing wisp of wind, I lost my heart to her again, never saw such green eyes with hair as dark as night, never saw such sweet hearts on a long flight

it was a burden to hold and let go, so the world gives up its stories, hers I still know, from cornfields to hay loft as the trips many I know, passion was the back drop of love so long ago,

I still remember sweet lips, and breast as milky white day, and a body that my mind could stray to the better time when all was real and free, a witches brew still lingers in the sweet aroma of her tea,

we live tribute to the days gone by, she her lofty goals, me I just pass bye, and days will be as time is a fleeting memory, she visits every now and then to remind me, I could have been her lover, I could have been her friend, but the truth is we are romantics in the witches wind,

hills blend with moonlight and skin as white as day and love it never meets expectations anyway, aroma of stew in the vein we are all victims and going insane,

it pauses for wonder as age takes it toil, wonder if path under will could grow, but I will always see her in moon light glow a perfect body given to me night to stars did grow, eastern wind as west comes to call, reverence in need never pleads path mans draw,

I often lay in passion need, seek the body, held so long ago, and I know there is no way, for the witch of my heart has gone so far away...and the witch created lives with me day and night bleeding my very soul,

expectations are dreamers place, heaven and God only ones to get it right. as the morals of stars blend perfect in a black sky hungry for
tribute

man fails upon throne that is like yesterday dead and gone, a smile passes my lips in my bed expectations met on key pad singing life's song
