In the bar we collect taxes, before we vote, I wonder whoe is the wiser, the child or the joke

I will vote for the best I know

In the election

I wonder

Which will show

Once there was a train

and a boy

Both were real

Both a want and a joy

Lilly pops and sugarplums

Ripples of angels wing

Every price is paid

In children’s schemes

Some mark heaven and earth

As the world goes by

In the absent of birth

All just cry

Heard the magic play

Saw the balloon on high

Wished it would stay

As the knight wrote a weigh

Every kiss fall from a troubled mind

Every girl calls

Hey buddy

Can you

Be mine

The entire world is real

Upon a spinning top

I got a girl

Just what have you got

Red white to blue

Every flag it seems

Came from a drop

Who makes dreams

Some mark heaven and earth

Dance for the man

Each of us

Just does

What he can

Sleep on

Pillows read

Mat upon

The lamb

The little boy could

So could his friend

The train

Yes I can

Now when you cast your mark

Let the words of the poet

Not sway your heart

For we seek truth

And politician only wants you

…. in the booth

Interesting thoughts on Plutocracy and Democracy... "Publican" stimulates social awareness. A poetic grand indeed.

Your "scrambled" (your style - not meant unkindly) tells so many truths, Walt. Am getting online longer, and can now comment more. Glad to read this one...politics getting a bit scrambled, too!
