Old resting

Church was modern to dark each station's song was my life given to dread
A soft voice hangs heavy on my soul
Mary touches me still
Pounding every pain
In her face I see
Practice of faith
Water and wine
Cool and comfort
As does bread
And water

In saw raw mains of tow we wed an angry word in light of seeing a palace cold it still hurts

And I dance in starlight of rubble a train comes to hold me in hand as the barn leads
Sheriff holds me accountable for the end of so many a banker looking to claim land
Worked by every earth sodden soul living free

Apple blossoms reach glory as I swing boot tips touching choke stretched to girth
A wet rope makes a sore burn sliding up and down in birth lost in soft dirt

My Mary cuts me down to earth calling souls in dark when none can see
North for me it screams a whistle in heard tunnels given hope to please

Rabble cry moves the tin can on a drunk of seeing past dead friends sleeping
From south to north old car to new life found in yards blurred by hot pie and soup

In arms of hate and love move among truth and wisdom dripped a history of library
Carrying so much more than need to be a random book for living

Cross left, cross left, stone turned, my Mary cries, comfort lives
My time was not yet, still a man, I hold her love firm

Graveyard is but a resting stop
Just crosses to remember
Perfection seeking duplication
Just over the hill
White church
Love holds
As remembered
Body and blood
Never alone
Almost home

Stabbing Pencey Boudreaux by Mary Lynn Plaisance

A poignant story about letting go of a narcissist in your life. Have you ever been attacked FULL force by a narcissist? It's the closest thing to being stabbed over and over in the back.
