Hidden Under A Lily

Once upon fishing tail


It was a trespass on a riverbed
A mourning soul to be fed
Rest well old boy we see
Sands of youth still run free

I heard a catfish crying beneath a rock of stone
And watched the stars flowing like sand all alone
In a meadow sighing I still feel light oh drifter of the father
Stay with my soul this night

I lay my heart forward on boat in lily pad
Watch the sands of loving hide beneath the sad
A bass comes calling for a lady fly
In my arms she sings a lullaby

Rock ye ages of soft and tender sleep
Weep forever in amber we keep
Remember the youth and sigh
A ripple of angels kiss a tear tied

Risk all who live on curtains turned
Seek all the hiding of trips learned
Stave off a melody
Love of love for me

Early in the evening on a pond flat as glass
A ripple from the stars shadow cast
Temptation as bright as bright can be
And the bass kept hiding under the lily

Potter oh potter you know you have done me well
Still watch for the shadow
Under lily dwell
Under lily dwell
