Report

It is window than pulls life in its shell

As the cupboard over flows

Some poor child must tell

Pit of self-drains

In barrel

Kind

Lips of heaven

Say they changed their mind

Rails make the motion

As the gin game

Goes south

Guitar plays

As if it has a mind self

Prattle of swords fall in sleep

As the cold air from the dark takes a peek

And I know well

Every sound of the day

Please come quickly

Take this lonely pain away

Around a dying campfire

Bottle passes lip to lip

Some derricks

Some are just loosing it a bit

My stumpy little pencil

Note pad of spiral fold

Taste that whisky

Pushes a way the cold

Silence overcomes me

As I play for the men

Some whistle some just join in

And the day is like the night

Angels more or so on wing

Each footstep is one we will never take again

And I pray for sunshine

Love of brother and man

Send in my story

Feed the kids

When I can

This one should be set to music, Walt! I hear your strummin' guitar in the background. Beautiful, dear friend!
btw - I'm out of commissioin again with my back and leary of taking pain meds - mess up my kidneys. So I'm not on line just about 3 times a day for 15 min ea. time; but I'm trying hard to stay positive...just a little harder this time round...drat!
