To write In words remembered

I work the tambourine with all the jingle
In voices that will come too soon
A room filled with righteous
Waiting to hang me at high noon

Love in a bottle and carried full throttle
To the last place a rose would bloom
Lash up the wicked make a dollar
As the body comes to full bloom

It was Amarillo on cold and loven day
With bottle of nothing anted a heart with empty
Me and this lady set about to play
An the deck of the wisdom grew like the sun

Time made the fury of the passion only once
She was with child as I made the threshold of tavern
In a carbon copy of music in Nashville Tennessee
Got my licking on stricken for trying to free

I work the tambourine with the entire jingle
In voices that will come too soon
A room filled with righteous
Waiting to hang me at high noon

Love in a bottle and carried full throttle
To the last place a rose would bloom
Lash up the wicked make a dollar
As the body comes to full bloom

Her Daddy was maker of the chain gang
A tribute to the sounds of pain
In a fit of anger I disposed of him
Left him dangling in the rain

It was Amarillo on cold and loven day
With bottle of nothing anted a heart with empty
Me and this lady set about to play
An the deck of the wisdom grew like the sun

Time made the fury of the passion only once
She was with child as I made the threshold of a tavern
In a carbon copy of music in Nashville Tennessee
Got my licking on stricken for trying to be free

Cold the beer as my lips work the microphone of time
Her body closed to the music
Out of touch but not out of mind
Just one more in dozen lovers but the child is mine

Hi Walter, I like all the analogies in this piece, with the last line being what is left after all the buzz. I have to say, though, that the color makes this hard for me to read...

In Spirit,
Bear
