i'm hangin by a thread--
arms dead
heart wrenched, fists clenched
clutching frightened
with whitened knuckles.
he just chuckles--
throws his head back
cause we're off track,
i cry cause we can't go back--
and i hold on
with calloused palms--
even though it's wrong,
i still hang on
and try to be strong
as my blood's being thinned
and my leather-skinned fingers
just linger
and won't let go--
they want to feel that blood
flow again someday.
and he just says "hang in there"
well, i'm definitely hanging here--
your f***ing marionette
counting regrets on my toes
cause lord knows
my hands are full

One of your best- gritty and real to me. I know it from his perspective, physically. Well, I think I've pretty well done you tonight. Read me when you can and say hello, Madeline.
