foolish girl--
don't hide your love away,
let it stay...
leave it be...
don't be afraid to give your love
for free.
when you step into the room
and his eyes are
the first to which you are drawn--
it isn't wrong
for your heart to smile
through your eyes
and for the corners of your lips
to rise.
foolish girl--
who are you trying to protect?
why not let your love interject
a heartfelt, toothful grin
projecting the sweetness
from your insides
to him.
take life--
take this love--
one rhyme at a time...
for it's fine to feel alone,
natural to be complacent,
important to be patient,
when dealing with
your passionate heart
which you've known from the start
can't be supressed
or hidden away--
you gotta let it stay...
leave it be...
and for heaven's sake, child
don't be afraid to give your love
for free.
with every step in life
you'll learn and learn--
so don't be concerned!--
your horizon holds
the brightest of colors and shades,
and this love of yours right now
will sparkle or fade,
but either way
you'll discover that beautiful someone who will repay
a love even more true
than the love you feel today.

Sweetheart is the word to describe you, sweet meaning innocent and open and the advice you give to yourself here is precisely true. You have to live to learn-there is no other way, especially in the affairs of the heart. Good stuff! Jerry

My oh my Madeline, you've outdone yourself this time! Let the love flow... You seem like one that might know how to do that... ;) Congrats on a nice piece... ;)
I met Jerome on a busy city street in Baltimore, Maryland, when he was forty-five years old. On that particular day, I was out and about, enjoying a much-needed day off from work.
I wanted to purchase a sukiyaki sub. I parked my car in an area of
peace and happiness
