Victim’s thoughts,
Again words of ache, Pearce me like a sharp knife, as a moment in time is replayed back over and over,
His words of sorry penetrates my skin like the brutality of a stormy winter’s breeze, as the frost bites into my flesh, and I hear his words of my love, for me, I’m sorry, it want happen again, and as the days light dim I forget yesterdays a bruise and go on,
Like a fool night is my enemy, a drink is his excuse, and the reward is his breath that smells of a mans scent and a drink that disillusions the mind,
My body cries out from the pain, of sexual desires that’s his not mine, my screams are forgotten, as life repeats itself in this moment as the sands of the hour glass count my minutes for me, alone I lay in a bed that’s meant for two, as hurt feels my thoughts in the midnight hour,
Loves illusion has no fairytales for me, no prince to hold, no glass slipper to walk in and away from, my distance is shot, like the pains that increases in me, and I know of its secrets, for they are mines to tell,
Afraid of an image that reflects itself in the mirror, my make up conceals a woman’s agony,
The back bone of me is the foot prints I make, in my day to day life, hiding the bruises, wishing I could be, as the thoughts go away, I am doomed into this a mistake gone wrong,
My door hides my meaning, my belief to be happy to be true , and I am afraid to cry tears,
I whisper to myself a victims heart ache, and a fiddlers story to play, as the notes of me is played in a song,
I moan where I belong, where do I fit in, and what road do I take, as it is so it will be,
I forgot how to feel, to touch, to love, and I forgot how to say no,
A readers book takes me into dreams of a far away place, that kisses me so gentle, and with a dreams touch, I for got how to know the meaning of passion,
Scars bed me, as does the remembrance of its silky touch,
And like a victim I can only whisper I remember warmth long ago,
Women’s cries, in the shadows of dreams
