 the journey so far...

i can rouse up
all the reason and logic
in regards to my life right now
i can even put blame
on the sheeples,
the people around, or my family
bless their hearts though
and gather up all
intelligent reasons in the world
just to say
it wasnt my fault
see- I followed darkness
for so long
even rationalized its lessons
when it is just really
the absence of light
i even lost friends along the line
still took pride
as if i have achieved
another spiritual milestone
but i was only going in circles
bogus miracles
back to where i started
telling myself healing
isnt linear
yet- there seem to be
no progress
only permanence of going back
to that state of desolence

i can gather up
all the theories,
scientific explanations
why the world now
is depressing and continuously
going down
and correlate these reasons
to the life Iam living
so I can joyfully evade
taking responsibility
hey it's the govt,
ludicrous policies, war,
increasing prices, etc
but all of these
only leads me
to a massively dizzying
spiral of downfall
that was my life
for years and years
of negativity
even though i spoke
of love and light
see even in this so called
spirituality movement
it is not exempted
from that famous shenanigan
the blind leading the blind

then one day,
i had enough of the dark
but i want to get to that point
where Iam so fed up
that i no longer want to touch it
but for now,
Iam following
the light of my soul
the spark of my consciousness
the desires of my own imagination
and the blissful life
that my divinity can bring me
it only had been months
maybe three
that i have been repeating
being on this mental diet
i just laugh at myself
that i cant perfect it
however,
changes have been happening
the way people treat me
isnt the same
my friends are back
and Iam always invited
to gatherings
welcomed with
the sweetest smiles,
sumptuos offerings
a bit of wine and alcohol

relationships had gotten better
and i reckon would be
superior in years to come
truly, consicousness is
the only reality
this is where
i can take full responsibility
yes, it had only been months
since i picked it up again
imagine what more
lies ahead if i
continue on, persist
in doing this
there is no other way
and the path is narrow
that i have to leave all
this intellectual baggage behind
yes i can study all the books
about this esoteric knowledge
which carries the same meaning
translated in different ways
teaching you about the law
but the understanding
and application is mine
for truly there is no greater teacher
than experience itself
surely there is no
master at all
for Iam following
the dictates of my own soul.

NO MATTER HOW IT MAY SEEM GOD IS STILL QUITE IN CHARGE. WHEN WE SURRENDER OUR LIVES TO HIM 'HE' IS LEADING US IN THE DIRECTION THAT HE WANTS US TO GO...CHISELING AND CHANGING US ALONG THE WAY. AND IT WILL GO ON UNTIL WE ARE, AS ONE OF MY INSPIRATIONS TITLES CALLS IT...'DONE'. THAT IS, PERFECTED. IN THE MEANWHILE, I KEEP MY EYES ON THE REWARD THAT LIES AHEAD, AS THE JOURNEY GET'S A BIT TOO MUCH FOR ME AT TIMES(SMILE)...BUT GOD! THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS

Little sister, you have outdone yourself with this piece. It's not about the destination, it's about the journey. Always follow the light. Loved it.

We all need to use our gut instincts to guide us and we are the judge of what is right and wrong. Common sense plays an important part, without it, we would all be senseless.

And according to what you wrote, quite a journey, indeed!

You mentioned that you spent a lot of time in the dark. That certainly is wasted time and emotion. If everyone entered the light our world would be much better. But you did mention in passing about "the world going down."

Don't be a Pollyanna on a sinking ship. Don't look to any other person, group or entity, especially government, to keep the ship from going down. We all have to change our ways. And by doing so with our experience and its beauty, encourage others to change their ways from unknowingly destroying our mother Earth by their mere daily activity. We have to change our lifestyles drastically while staying in the light if we are to bring us out of the downward trend into the upward trend we've always been involved in, know it or not.

Sometimes it is good to "take stock" as we journey along the way. It helps to center ourselves and focus on what we are thinking at the time. At every stage of the way, there are opportunities to sit back and take stock of "the journey so far". Well done.

These are days of darkness indeed. So many are troubled. We try our best to remain positive. Still it is difficult. When I write, I want others to understand exactly how I feel inside. Yet I can be away from something I have written, sometimes months. Then, when I go back to it, I wonder why I said what I did, or I didn’t want my readers to know that about me. I want people to hear happy thoughts, but the happenings throughout life do not continually keep us in a happy state. I want people to understand my every thought. But this is not possible. Neither is it possible for me to understand everything others say. The important thing is, we all are writing, trying to express our thoughts, to understand, and be understood. I have been a member of AD more than twenty years. I am a much different individual today than I was twenty years ago. We change from year to year, but we make a more noticeable change each decade. Hopefully, it is for the best. I apologize for rambling this morning and hope someone out there has gleaned at least a few of my random thoughts.
