Beguiled.... Oft was the wish o’ my lonlie prayer that i cad hae an angel tae cast aside my deep despair an’ guide me through the darkness... oft was rejection an’ silence. the laird ne’er list’ tae my plea, i thocht dreich upon poor me until a bar-room day... sweet as a faiery smile, tricky as a tinkers wile, mesmer'd by her twinkling twinkles.. she me.. beguiled.. me... a tough coorse norlan’ chiel wha focht wi’ lucifer..the darkness deil in single combat....an’ lost my personal holocaust...... rising frae the ashes, efter the fyre cleansed my spirit frae funeral pyre... i arose..to the blueness o’ a wyde eyed gaze..... i had nae the choice tae choose the lass ... wha wad become my muse.... Graham...2003
