confronted by her past freckled with pain she’d conveniently air brushed from her reality: it’s yesterday once more.
normally she smiled while the knife was being twisted but tonight her self confessed disclaimer of a hideous past has lost all credibility: it’s yesterday once more
It’s the yin/yang effect he said Hideous on paper; beautiful in person
how I long to believe him…
everyone leaves behind a story of mine I am unashamed though I’d prefer mine to remain hidden in obscurity like symbols in a DaVinci masterpiece embellishing all I am today rather than nails in the lid of my own coffin (I will not allow my past to seal my fate…)
who wants to be nailed when they can be painted…?
It’s the yin/yang effect he said Hideous on paper; beautiful in person… Why have you valued yourself in pennies When you are worth a kings ransom…?

Very creative artwork. iQuestions worth asking to anyone not just any time. I enjoyed this deeply.
Very interesting question you have posed. It will take some pondering to sort it all through. Life your style, great write...

egads; so many allegories from which to learn. .. a self effacing piece of heARTwork. .rendering the aesthetics with BOLD and italicized vapourized words creates a "yesterday" visual superbly. . .echoed wants and hopes for our selves/lives--- the painted, the touched--the ones who are allowing themselves to be rendered themselves, bent. . .breathed on and into being...alive.. . change is funny...and almost the only consistent thing in us. . .we hcange and must blend that into the scape of us
astonishing clarity and evocative write (id expect nothing less from you)

ahhh, interesting thing about freckles... the can be so beautiful, but airbrushing does put an unnatural gloss on their spunk... :)
This writes gives us a lot to think about for in order to appreciate, judge and value anothers life we need to judge our own first. The past is but what shapes our future...both the good and the bad but although we should learn from it, is it necessary to review it on instant replay. This is one powerful write that makes the reader think about it's many facets.

Nice work...your thoughts express a time of search in where one finds balance or is looking for that balance of life between the past and present, memories and harsh realities can take one to those points where balance and or yin/yang are a mere thought in comparison to one's own moral value...
The past should be trated like a shadow of our life from a bad flickering light, that puff! and its gone whit sunrise.
Yin/yang is very good for Korean philosophy but we have our own yin/yang called self-esteem.

Having felt the knife twisting, smiling through it all, I felt this one deep to my core. Absolutely can't keep reliving the past without it affecting the future: been guilty of that, o, yes. Concur with Jerry (below). I needed to read this, NEED to read: saving. Well done!

This is deep and exciting work! So many (myself included) allow our past to rule our present and that ain't no damn way to live . . . Thank you for posting this . . . I needed to read it . . . This one goes in my library and will be read often . . .
TRUE STORY. Bella survived an abusive powerbroker father with organized crime ties, a drug-addicted mother and a physically/sexually abusive brother. Shocking & inspirational. When she couldn't cry, she tattooed a crying angel to cry for her.
A passionate and poignant memoir written by a woman whose life has been guided by the words: "I am here to learn how to love well." The book is a deep examination of relationships, family, motivation, and honoring of the Self.
thanks,
dan
