The Beauty Of Friendship

 Because...

I have a friend,

Life is never lonesome

Or dark, or cold,

Or lacking laughter's cheer.

For always there's a beam

Of starry light,

By which to chart and steer.

Herein lies wealth,

Though having neither grand estate, nor gold,

And owing much to thrift,

Make do and mend.

I am content-I have enough

And more.

I have a friend.
