this poem has been inspired by real life occurances, and a need to make personalized choices.
I have this hammer on my hand,
The nail was on my other hand,
I tried to hit that nail so hard,
I got destructed,
now, my nail is missing.
I have been looking in the tall green grass,
this is serious, not just a mere fuss,
I have looked for so long, hours have had to pass,
I keep getting old items that are full of rust,
But my nail keeps missing,
I'll stop looking in the grass,
right this moment,
it might be anywhere even on the pavement,
I'll have to look on a wider field,
But surely so, i'll find my nail.
i'll find my nail,
i know I won't fail,
and I won't let anyone bit me to that!
And when I find my nail,
I'll hit it on the head.

A really great metaphor for missing out even when we try our best.
In real life I have aimed for a nail (metal) and missed, hitting the nail on my finger, causing great pain. Within a day, the nail will turn black underneath from dried blood, and then it will fall off, leaving me without a fingernail. It will then take several months to grow back in before I can hit it with a hammer again. ;-)
