April & Spring

It might be warm or slightly cold
It might rain tonight I'm told
We might have sun or a slight flurry
The weather forecast is quite blurry
I hear the buzzing bumble bee
A robin sings in the apple tree
Brown branches do transform to green
A color for many months not seen
The daylight seems to linger longer
Brighter,clearer and much stronger
Yet the morning's chill's not gone
And the westerly wind brings on
Dark, dense and billowing clouds
Rolling, roiling, thundering shrouds
And lightning flashes up on high
Lighting up the darkened sky
Raging rain as a dense downpour
Soaks the Earth down to its core.

This long awaited April will bring
Bright and fragrant flowers this Spring
