And the Master said: "Why is Time running ?"

Said Monk-Disciple 1: "Time's running because the rice in the pot must boil to be cooked."

Said Monk-Disciple 2: "Time's running because girls want to look desirable forever and ever."

Said Monk-Disciple 3: "Time's running because nano-seconds make up seconds, seconds minutes, minutes hours and hours days and so forth and forth into Eternity."

Said Monk-Disciple 4: "Time's running because It landed on Earth on nuclear-powered roller-skates without brakes."

Said Monk-Disciple 5: "Time's running because - if It doesn't - all the clocks in the world/Multi-Verses will show the very same hour forever."

Said Monk-Disciple 6: "Time's running because seasons must change, if not snow will abound and deserts will surround others and birds which fly away will not be able to alight anyway. "

Said Monk-Disciple 7: "Time's running because - if it doesn't - It will run out of time on the spot."

Said Monk-Disciple 8: "Time's running because the Past is gnawing It at its heels."

Said Monk-Disciple 9: "Time's running because It is trying to catch up with the Future which wants nothing to do with It."

Said Monk-Disciple 10: "Time's running because It has no-where else to go to but into a Black Hole where No Time reigns."

Said Monk-Disciple 11: "Time's running because there's no Time called 'Present Time' in which to catch Its breath."

Then the Master said: "Why does Time repeat Itself ?"
