Inclinations of Nature

Pulling weeds out of our lives yields a soil that when well tilled and watered brings forth much fruit.

Nurtured by my natural life I am refreshed
through the seasons of strife and pain as
I arrive at you.
Perfect in all that is woman, yielding just the
right balance that keeps the scales of my life
even.
Complex, yet simple and willing just to say that
you love me.
Just like a tall field awaiting the scythe, I fall to
nourish the very ground that brought me forth.
When can I love you, and grow in the field that you
planted?
Plucking out the weeds that starve your life, I
watch and wait for the one chance to feed you
and embrace roots deep within the soil of your life.
I taste salt on your lips, crimson and hot; hungry
yet willing to starve.
I yield to circumstances un-controlled as I wonder
amongst stones and trees.
Why do they look upon me as a weed beneath such
greatness?
Do I grow like a cancer within the soil buried deep
within the past?
Their limbs shield the light as I whither and you watch.
Yet I am the master of my own forest; giving and taking
life through fire and saw.
I walk upright with knowledge of love gained by never
being the weed, yet poisoned at times nonetheless.
For I am just a man within my own wood seeking a valley
fertile to grow in.

Yes, truly beautiful words from the heart of a wonderful man that I am so blessed to have in my life. The way you express yourself in your poetry is so amazing and I treasure that and I treasure you.

Randy! This is the most inner devote declaration of love I have ever heard…beauty….beauty…beauty…
The purity of your words are romantic yes, & intimately sincere; but also feel as though the truth of love is speaking within a true essence of forevermore...this is so very beautiful in many perspectives of the heart & soul
