Taking the eagle's point of view, I rise above problems and see instead the solution.

Poem Artwork

Moving On

Like everything, it has changed.
Like old wooden houses sitting in a field-
windowless, doorless, dangerous;
like gas stations with one pump,
tumbleweeds a mountain under one eave,
asphalt cracking, an eye sore,
it has changed to something less than these,
yet fills the heart with so much more,
the mind left gaping in awe and in envy
that it did not conjure up such wonders first.

It is Life,
the given that we take,
the possibilities that we assume are all that's here.
Life has changed, to be less than
what was once left behind on roadsides,
dusty porches, and stifled attics.
It is more.
It fills my heart with more.
It shows my eyes there's more!
-possibilities abound-

Soaring,
I flow and glide
down the lighted canyon;
no end to what I can do,
no end to what I feel,
to what is real,
no end.

When less surely is more…
An insightful look at life and all it’s
possibilities if we can look with the
eyes of our souls…
Always such heart lifting writing
Corrine…and always so inspiring…

I love the contrast between what used to be good as it deteriorates, then gliding above and beyond it with hope for the future!

Everything decays. It is nature's way. When there is no sustenance, no income, one must move on or die. But when one takes flight like an eagle, everything is possible.

Your poem makes the soul soar.
