I find it refreshing!
Though the visual obviously excites the Male mind...:) You have penned this with tenderness, and it projects the love of a woman!!
Whomever told you otherwise, must have their heads stuck in erotic fantasies, not reality..perhaps

Perhaps I haven't read your best, Elga but this is elegant and beautiful. I think poetry is subjective and it should please you, the author, since it comes from or through you. Let the others have their thoughts on it, but understand that they are "their thoughts" and certainly no more important and certainly no more significant than your own. In all honesty, do we write poetry to release our soul or for the praises of others?

I'm sure I've seen hills like the pic, or do I need help.
Well now I've had me cold freezing shower.
It was a wasted use of water.
So a boys gotta do what a boys gotta do.

Blimey see what happens if you whisper this poem in to a blokes ears.
Not a good Idea.

Whoever gave you those negative opionions was full of Chit!
I think this is a powerful write. To me this is a reverie.
A dream of a distant/absent lover. The words come thru here
with class and clarity. Your emotions are like a gentle glimpse that you allow the reader to share briefly. I personally feel this is beyond grand. I am partial to rhyme, and rarely connect to poetry that does not....sometimes I can pick out a line here and there, that makes me go.......wow....but thats just the way my brain works, when I read....its just me....(not being judgemental)
But..........
This entire write has me enchanted. And thats not my norm! I am just that way.....its like having a preference for a certain sweet!

I don't know who told you it wasn't one of your best but if it was a husband divorce him. a family member disown him, a friend dump him.

Dear Elga,
The pic on the actual poem didn't come out but as I had seen it up top it didn't detract. I don't agree that this is not one of your best. I think it is one of your finest. A tender, romantic almost whimsical write with barely suppressed passion flowing through every line. You do this so well!
