The Violinist
I adrift,
Upon immense vastness,
Surrounded by emptiness
Yet constricted by stagnant winds,
Overwhelming confusion,
Followed by,
Misunderstood thoughts,
Or words!
Played upon,
Like a fine tuned violin,
Every note… perfection!
But, hand or arm vibrato
Modulates the pitch,
That’s heard across the desert floor,
Which carries into the expanse
The haunting tonal effects,
Dipping into dunes of time.
Your distinctive qualities,
Numerous,
Like a lover who plucks the chords,
To suit an orchestral performance!
Your classical melodies
Produce seamless changes
From key to key
And chord to chord
Creating an almost perfect,
Harmonic world!

It seems that the author of "The Violinist" was accompanied by Euterpe and Erato when this wonderful poem was composed.
