Know the difference between what is right and what is wrong

for a proud nation of independent achievers

Know the difference between a free democracy

and a government-controlled regime

Know the promise of America, its achievements,

and the strength of its patriots

Know the difference between emphatic,

hollow promises of undefined change

to frustrated folks and underachievers

and a firm message that instills faith in each individual

with true experience, sacrifice, conquest,

and the spirit that has made us

the strongest nation in the world.

Know the difference between citing problems

and finding solutions,

complaining and rejoicing,

order and imposed order

Know that we are Americans

as so many have forgotten what that means

or are just too lazy to live that role

Know that this is a place where anyone can rise

from the humblest of backgrounds

to achieve the loftiest of goals and dreams

Know that there is bitterness, envy, and greed

in any philosophy that would take those dreams away

or penalize those who have achieved them.

Know the facts, the records, the votes

and moreover the clear character of our elected officials,

lest we forget, they are not our leaders but our servants.

Take control of your lives, your finances,

careers, and your families,

as it is simply pathetic that anyone

should rely on a bureaucracy
to assume those responsibilities.

Know that there is a huge well-financed movement

that wants to reshape and destroy

our great independent republic.

Don’t vote with your hearts

Vote with logic, knowledge, pragmatism,

and use (or quickly develop some) street smarts

‘cause being a subject of beauracracy is not the answer,

never has been,

and Chicago’s smelling real fishy.

Sad but oh so true .

(shouldn't all voters be required to pass a test?)
