Sometimes I am actually glad my years on this planet are winding down. I lived in the best of years but see this old world slowly and at times not so slowly destroying itself.

 not so great again…

by: felix perry

the false God walks in freedom

leads his fake army, with no shame

his prayer’s all end in great again

history repeats, ‘neath a different name

whole cities turned to tented jungles

jungles unfold into skeletons of steel

the blessed ones are now the cursed

soon demonic soul will rule all heel

so it was said, we shall be great again

but that apple pie turned bitter sour

fought for flag trod upon underfoot

mad men robbed its glory and its power

children curse out loud at the fathers

fathers swear they’re not to blame

the lady’s torch dips below the water

flickers feebly, then goes out in shame

deaf the voice, we once called reason

play dumb, perhaps it won’t affect you

blindly ignore the twisted ugly truth

ask not what you can do…

This pierces the heart. So well penned and filled with truth. When I see people burning the flag it hurts my heart so deeply. Fe, this is a A poem filled with relevant truth. Thought provoking.

Indeed this has become a very troubled world. It is difficult to be optimistic these days. Be well, Fee. Love and peace to you,

Regis. 🙏

I'm glad your posting again. I was worried. But I guess you are worried with this rather pessimistic view of the "great again" cult of backsliders. Apparently wishing to return to a Camelot of their own making rather than facing the real gorilla in the room… Global warming.
