The queen of my heart was born
In a wooden shack in the suburbs
A wooden shack with a tin roof
On hotly disputed
Ground
Her eyes are two flames
That burn in sluggish protracted
Passion
Wood burns and tin melts
All across the known world
Her hair has a voice
Which in dark whisper
Sings
Unknown, enveloped in darkness
She burns in motionless
Riot
I asked: "What is your banner?"
She said: "I am silence of your silence"
I found her cabin in flames
Women's and children's cries rose
Crucified
In dark lurid stark air
We all saw it
Without tears
In a night
Like every night
Wood burns and tin melts
All across the known world
Our skin feels like hot ground
And our dreams are shacks cracked
And demolished
The truth is hidden
Like an illicite love
You bit my lips
And we erupted
What a strange eery night
It is as if
In your eyes
I could see right through
Whistling shadows
Into a world to come
