This is a piece I wrote explaining what I thought of relationships:
Here I am

The need for us to find someone to share our life with is a story as old as creation, it would seem that it is essential for people to seek and hopefully find a soul mate.
I believe relationships as a lifestyle are supposed to work. Not just the aspect of meeting someone and as is sometimes the case and for whatever reason separating after a time. But I believe that two people can have a meaningful, positive, passionate, warm giving, empowering relationship. Dynamics, and compatible personalities are maybe the core of a pairing; I think couples have to connect on many levels. Could the balance of giving as a partner, learning to appreciate as well as being willing to receive what a partner has to offer be equally significant? The balance of those qualities is a acknowledged process and growth but once achieved it may allow for a full immersion and participation by both parties. Might that endeavor also render a more complete relationship?
Communication I think is also key and is one of my favorite aspects of being in a relationship, because women fascinate me. I think "lovemaking" occurs in all circumstances and especially in small ways everyday, it may just be the culmination of all those moments and instances spent together that are ultimately and eventually celebrated in the bedroom. Bur lovemaking is every word we say to each other and also sadly the potential of deeper passions that are lost as we neglect to listen, engage, give, receive and basically understand who we are and who our perspective partners are.
This moment as you read the words I have written here, may be the beginning of that journey that hopefully will one day find us, happy to have found each other and excited to be together if so.... I am so ready even just to say your name and know specifically who you are.
A very thoughtful and mature view of what a relationship should be.
However, I am going to have to turn down the invitation in the last paragraph because I'm strictly for the distaff and not wishing to link up with any guy anytime soon.
You got it right. Lovemaking is every word we say to each other and also sadly the potential of deeper passions that are lost as we neglect to listen, engage, give, receive and basically understand who we are and who our perspective partners are.
Sadly, I used to be guilty of this and eventually Jesus showed me what real love is all about. A GREAT write Tony. A GREAT write...
