Allina nurses are going on strike again to prevent Allina from taking away their health insurance and to demand safe staffing and to deal with patient violence toward nurses.

Strike! Strike! The word is out
We cannot give in, and so we shout!
Strike for health, for safety, for staffing
Less is not okay, it leaves patients lacking

Take care of nurses, of patients, of staff
Help the staff that’s hurt and that
Need help to live their lives intact
Preventing disabling lifelong impact

Send violent patients to units with security
Get them help without causing injury
Set limits on what is safe, for patient care
Management; money is not what’s important here

Save your money building rooms so nice
White walls and linoleum floors suffice
After all health-care does not need golden halls
They just need nurses that give their all

Allina, That is what’s important here
Not saving money, nor wealth, please hear!
Safe units, well nurses, and peaceful cares
And we will all live well and without fear
