I gotta let you be.
Be the man that God
himself prepared you to be.
See, I know deep in my heart
he has prepared you to meet
my needs.
And he has prepared me to
meet yours baby.
But I gotta let you be the man
and take care of me.

Sometimes, I struggle as a black woman.
Sometimes, I know it has been hard
for you, my black king, to work with me
because I constantly fight against
the natural rhythm of what God
intends us to be.

I know I gotta let some things go
so this relationship can really grow
and I gotta let you be the man
God sent to me.

I gotta be strong enough to be weak.
I gotta let things flow naturally.
I gotta let you support, care and
protect me.

It doesn't mean you trying to control me.
It just means that you are the one who
was designed to meet all of my needs forever......
