This was written about a Chicago doctor who died of leukemia. She struggled and obtained!
The cry of the vast undone, where time grows hazy and distant, beckoning all labor to end, hastening and groaning for her, longing for her… to step from time into the eternal, in a moment, in the blink of an eye, discarding the borrowed garments of this world. Her spirit liberated, faith’s hope arrives. She’s equal to eternity’s call, branded with an iron rod from the flames— the very gate to eternity…her spirit’s destiny realized. No more fungus-spread of fortified confusion, no bewitchments; no inflammation. Earth’s spilled out wares left behind, she steps into eternity, not with hopeless resignation…
But in colorful layers of tapestry, woven not from golden ornaments poured out in measure from the background of earth’s dull squalor. but with rays of lavish brilliance teemed with …a new expression; …a new beauty; derived from Broken Jewels in time, where wisdom’s meaning’s gleaned and earth is left behind……
Stephanie, when Susan recommend I read your work, I knew it would be good, but this is fantastic. You have captured the spirit, soul, and wonder of this ladies very essence and done a wonderful tribute that will reach her all the way to the heavens. I am glad to see new writers of your calibre join the den, I look forward to reading you into the future.
