The title grabbed me. I'm glad it did. Not sure if it will allow me to walk away, though. Excellent piece of writing here. The words flow rapidly like a wild river, moving over anything that gets in the way. I'll read more of your work. :)

Doug, let me just say this. Your work is excellent and a breath of fresh air, not to sound too cliche. I read a few of your other pieces as well and all finely written. I'm not surprised they didn't receive any comments, but then again I only need to look around here for the answer. It's great to see another New England poet!
