 Such a wise crack

that lets such

a joke of a weed

sprout

inexplicably

on a vast, cemented

urban plain

like a jovial

burp

we can't

contain.

Nice and visual and sparse, just like a weed in concrete. Nice write.

Someone told me a few days ago that I was like the persistent flower that kept sprouting from the concrete, and then I can in here and found this. Almost heard the Twilight Zone music (does this make me old). Now I have to go back and read this again, and figure out if she was calling me a jovial burp. ;-) Nice poem, Doug.
