He broke my heart properly...the edges fit neatly together

Across the great divide, and meet again (in rare moments)

The ache of it stretches long, and wide

Stained with sweet poisons, seeping past the days of daze

How I miss the ways he would never hurt me

His hands that said in their careful softness I was home

Safe, wanted...that I was everything

Until the day came that I simply wasn't at all

As the moment slipped out quietly in wee hours, a thief in the night

Stealing away the precious perfect heat of us

To drown far off in icy pools of forgetting

The fervor I have hunted with for the wild freedom of forget

That your wicked smiles and haunting supple skin gave generously

Crueler torture to lose paradise than to never know it

The taste of all the sweet everythings that made the world glow

Like only a lover satsfied and basking hotly in warm arms

Unravelled, the map of my world stretched ever wider

Until he was a lost isle I could not even think about

Without drowing in oceans of sunken treasure

Ever destined to be lost beneath the dark waters of time

Tho, I don't miss him as much as I miss us, the unity

Strangely it is the very motion of him I long so deeply for, the way

His hands ran electric white hot lines across my heart to my body

The intensity of the warmth that radiated across our lips

Banished to this empty place, I mourn this like death

The perfect memory of being touched

How gentle his caress as I slipped through his fingers

Ouch, I can relate to this one. Love is the greatest and the worst feelings we ever experience, yet I will still risk the emptiness for a chance at the fullness of it all . Time heals all wounds ? Or is it time wounds all heels ! :-)
