Learning and knowing who you are
Is the greatest secret of your life.
The door to the enlightenment of wisdom
Blissful peace from worldly strife.
Knowing who you are
Is the first step to goal-centered selection
The channel of self-understanding
Enabling worthy purpose and direction.
When you walk down life’s pathways,
Searching for fulfillment of hopes and dreams
Obstacles get in your way so frequently,
At least that’s the way it seems.
But God offers good days ahead
Abundant joy and love for all
Strength and grace to see you through
When your spirit lags and falls.
Thus, knowing who you are,
Is to know that problems will eventually pass
Endowing you to realize that difficulty and trouble
Are like melting ice that dissolve and don’t last.
Knowing who you are is a responsibility
That will become a lifetime endeavor
If you figure out the answer,
THEN YOU ARE VERY CLEVER.
Wonderful write Jeanette,and you are so 'spot on': Our greatest challenge -and gift- is knowing who we are, and that is done, I believe, by spending time alone,in the presence of God.

Excellent write!
I guess I will continue to search. I don't think I have the answer, other than to say the journey is soooooooo wonderful and packed full of surprises. Some are good, some are bad, but all, produce stronger will and more determination. I enjoyed reading this very much.

I struggled with being someone I was not for so long I lost sight of who I really was. During the year of 1999, I almost passed away after a routine operation. After that experience, I vowed I would never be someone that I was not. Voila, emerged Amber Moonstone. So you see, sometimes it takes a life threatening experience to make you wake up to who you knew you were all along.
Wonderful write, and I am thankful that you were clever enough to give this blessing of a poem to us.
