~ Shackled ~


I cannot seem to escape
the memories -
That linger on within
my mind...

~*~

No matter how hard
I try to break free -
There's just no leaving
the past behind...

~*~

A day never passes
without thinking of you.
And the precious love
that we once shared...

~*~

Oh how I miss the things
that we used to do.
To be without you -
seems so unfair...

~*~

I wish I could turn back
the hands of time.
There is so much that
I would say...

~*~

I was not given the chance
to say goodbye.
On that dreadful night
when you had passed away...

~*~

Now my world is filled
with such sorrow & tears.
My heart completely shattered
consumed with such grief...

~*~

I am forever shackled
to the yester-years.
For never do I seem
to find any peace...
