"Happiness"

 Today I took a step closer toward Happiness,

We shared a common silence along our way,

I saw that Happiness was not smiling,

but knew deep down inside,

she wanted to laugh

I saw in her eyes and in that familiar gaze,

And in the way she moved her lips,

that Happiness is for me.

We talked all through the day,

and throughout the wee hours of the night,

I got to know Happiness intimately,

Now, I too, am happy.
