there are often more than one "soulmate".. the lovers, the friends..those people that touch the soul and are forever bonded...but the true mate (one's other half, so to speak)..when not present..leaves the other, empty, til they are reunited...again!aml k
Countless hours spent Silently dying Painfully recalling each touch Echoes of every word Empty.. immesurably void When all of the cards fell in place The hurricanes of fate scattered each dream Laying waste to the very breath inhaled Sad tears fall Making their way between heaved breasts Like the on rushing river after the storm Every daybreak Every sunset Sleepless moments Carry prayers of hope Encouraged by the strength of knowing When two such souls are mated They will find one another Again.

Yep, true soul mates can withstand any calamity, any separtion, any disagreement...always returning to each other, always by each others side, even when they're not...where they always belonged. Great, hope-filled poem Krissy. Hope you are well. ~ Sara
