I've been placed on the twelve step program To get past yourself (or someone like you) Coupled with The hurting of so many.. Just wish the real world would stop hasseling me!
But...every step forward Sends me two steps back It's me..and I can't get myself to go away It was never my intention..the pain It makes for such a long day
Baring the strain Of feeling EVERYTHING I still believe the rain will wash it all away But..it's 3am and I think I may be dreaming THAT's the PUSH!
You say I wear my heart on my sleeve Like a high school letter Now...I've lost my sweater I need such amazing grace..to breathe There! I'm busted!
The wall you try to build Is more curtain than concrete Which billows and seeps into my soul (Like a Quisanart on high) Makes me wanna scream..DAMN!
It would be good to go away, Someday......... But... I just Hang! It's a long journey To get it back to good What we learn here may be bitter when it's gone
Perhaps, in time Before the matchbox I have been tucked into Shuts out the rest of the light And the mad season takes it's toll I'll have the answers!
