Where Are You This Christmas?
Wherever you are this Christmas
I hope your world is merry and bright
that you are close to those you love
on Christmas Eve and Christmas night
I hope you remember and reverence Jesus
His love, His mercy and abundant grace
that He is healing every hateful wound
and solving every problem you may face
you don't know how I miss you always
every day and at Christmastime
I look back on your younger days
comforted by the memories I find
'tis the season of love and good cheer
so be well my sons, be kind to each other
in your lifetime you may have many friends
but you will have only one blood brother
Your poem is so personal it's hard to comment. But I certainly hope that there may be Christmases ahead where you will get back together.
My Christmases are so far different from when I was young. When I would drive 1000 miles or more to spend Christmas with my family.
