Inspired by a conversation with a toddler and written off the cuff direct onto the editor here, just to see how practical it was to work that way.

 

Spiders in Her Hair

She's got spiders in her hair
She likes to have them living there
They spin their webs without a care
Those little spiders in her hair.

Poppa wants them all to die;
But she just wants to know why.
While they're there there'll be no fly
To buzz around and make her cry

There's a big worm in her belly
It has a name, she calls it Kelly.
She feeds it up with orange jelly,
That friendly big worm in her belly.

Mama wants it to get out.
Which makes her want to scream and shout
But more likely she'll just pout
And hide behind the water spout.

She has colonies of fleas
In her elbows and her knees
When the other children tease
She plays with spiders, worm and fleas.
